FitBot AI is an AI-powered fitness application developed and operated by FitBot AI ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide the FitBot AI mobile application and the website at fitbotai.app (together, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to all users of the FitBot AI app and website.

This policy describes our data practices. Optional AI processing and Health Sync require separate permission; reading this policy or using the app does not turn them on.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: Your name, email address, account identifier, and sign-in credentials. Firebase Authentication processes credentials used to sign in.
• Sign in with Apple or Google: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we may receive your name, email address, and profile photo made available by that provider.
• Profile and fitness information: Age, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, experience level, dietary preferences, and other details you share during onboarding or in your profile.
• Workout and activity data: Exercises logged, sets, reps, weights, workout history, and progress entries.
• Nutrition data: Meals logged, recipes saved, calorie and macro information you enter or interact with.
• Support requests: Messages, tickets, and feedback you send to our support team.
• AI chat inputs: Questions, prompts, and messages you send to the AI trainer feature.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: Device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage data: Features you use, screens you visit, actions you take, timestamps, and interaction patterns. This data is collected to understand how users engage with the app and improve the experience.
• Log data: IP address, crash reports, and performance diagnostics collected via our error reporting service.
• Firebase Analytics collects usage events and selected profile properties associated with your account identifier. Firebase Crashlytics associates crash diagnostics with your account identifier. Purchase-status information may also be linked to your account.

Website Analytics (fitbotai.app)

Our marketing website (not the FitBot AI app) uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed, which buttons are clicked, and how visitors scroll and move through a page. These services use cookies and collect device, browser, approximate location, and interaction data. They are not used on this privacy policy, the terms, or the account-deletion page, and they do not receive your FitBot AI account data. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, these tools are not loaded. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

Camera and Image Data

If you use features like form analysis, meal scanning, or profile photos:

• Camera access is used for meal scanning and exercise form analysis. Local-only form tracking processes camera frames on your device.
• Profile photos and progress photos you upload are stored securely in our cloud infrastructure.
• With your explicit permission, photos or frames submitted for meal scans, physique reads, or AI form checks are sent to Google's AI service to generate results.
• We do not access your camera or photo library without your explicit permission.

Premium Access and Purchases

• If you purchase a premium subscription, we receive purchase status information (whether your access is active, expired, or canceled) from our subscription management provider.
• We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Apple and Google process app-store payments, and Stripe processes purchases made through our website. We receive purchase and subscription status information.

Health and Fitness Data

• FitBot AI does not read any data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
• With your permission (Health Sync is off by default), FitBot AI writes the workouts you complete in the app and an estimated active-energy value to Apple Health or Health Connect so they appear alongside your other health data. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
• Step counts shown in the app come from your device's motion sensor (with your permission), not from Apple Health or Health Connect.
• We do not sell health or fitness data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not read data from Apple Health or Health Connect. With your explicit permission, health and fitness details you enter in FitBot AI, including injuries and body measurements, may be sent to Google's AI service for personalized AI features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Generate personalized workout plans, nutrition suggestions, and AI-powered recommendations.
• Process your AI trainer conversations and provide relevant responses.
• Process images you submit for food identification and exercise form analysis.
• Track your fitness progress and display it back to you.
• Provide billing-related support for premium features.
• Send you important service-related communications.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Analyze usage trends to improve the app experience.

3. AI Features and Your Data

FitBot combines its workout-planning and tracking tools with optional AI features, including trainer chat, meal scans, physique reads, AI form checks, and daily or weekly summaries.

How AI Uses Your Data

• With your explicit permission, Google's AI service processes your fitness profile, goals, health details you share, workout and meal logs, chat messages, coach memories, and submitted photos or exercise frames to generate coaching, scans, and daily or weekly summaries.
• Images you submit for food scans, physique reads, or AI form analysis are sent to Google only after you allow AI Data Sharing.
• You can decline AI processing or withdraw permission at any time using Settings > AI Data Sharing. This stops future transfers for AI processing. Features that do not require AI remain available, subject to the app's subscription requirements.
• AI recommendations are generated automatically based on the information you provide.
• We use Google's paid Gemini API. Under its paid-service terms, Google does not use submitted prompts or responses to train its models. Google may retain requests and responses for safety, abuse monitoring, and legal obligations under its service terms.
• AI-generated outputs may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your individual circumstances. Use your own judgment when following any AI recommendation.

What AI Does Not Do

• AI features do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• AI recommendations are for informational and fitness purposes only. Always consult a qualified professional for health concerns.

4. Sharing of Information

We share data with service providers necessary to operate the app. We do not sell your personal data.

• Payment processors: Apple and Google process app store payments. We do not handle your payment details directly.
• AI service provider: With your explicit permission, Google processes the information described in the AI Features and Your Data section to provide the AI features you enable.
• Subscription management: RevenueCat receives your account identifier, transaction information, and subscription status to manage premium access.
• Cloud infrastructure: Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide authentication, database, file storage, and cloud functions. Netlify hosts our website and may process website request information such as IP addresses and technical logs.
• Analytics and diagnostics: Firebase Analytics processes usage events and selected profile properties, and Firebase Crashlytics processes crash and device diagnostics. These records may be linked to your account identifier.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate FitBot AI, including services for authentication, data storage, cloud functions, AI processing, subscription management, crash diagnostics, and usage analytics. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. Our service providers are required to protect your data in a manner consistent with this policy and applicable law. We only share information with third parties as necessary to provide the Service, and none of your data is shared for advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention

• We retain personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service.
• Deleting your account initiates removal of your account and associated app data. Some records may be retained where required by law or for security, fraud prevention, or resolving payment disputes.
• Copies in service-provider backups or logs may persist for their applicable retention periods. Google's AI retention practices are described in the AI Features and Your Data section.
• Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and improvement purposes.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
• Storage on secure cloud servers with restricted access.
• Secure authentication practices.
• App integrity verification to prevent unauthorized access to our backend services.
• Access controls limiting who within our team can access user data.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your account and personal data.
• Opt out of optional communications.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. In the app, use Settings > AI Data Sharing to stop future AI transfers, or disable Health Sync to stop new workout exports.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

You can manage most of your data directly within the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Delete Account in the app, or visit fitbotai.app/delete-account. For other requests, email us at support@fitbotai.app.

9. Children's Privacy

FitBot AI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. International Users

FitBot AI is operated from Canada. Your information may be processed in Canada and other countries where our service providers operate, including the United States. Applicable data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:
